Terms & Conditions
Safety & Liability
By accepting these terms, you indemnify Happy Tails Dog Training Centre against any claims resulting from damages, injuries, death, or losses arising from your participation — or that of your family, guests, or dog — in any event organised by this school, whether held at our official premises or any other location.
Handlers and guests participate in all activities entirely at their own risk. Owners are responsible for their dogs at all times and are liable for any damage caused by their dogs to property or persons during training sessions.
Health & Vaccinations
- All dogs must be up-to-date with vaccinations, including rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and kennel cough. Proof of vaccination may be required upon request.
- Owners must ensure their dogs are free from any contagious illnesses before attending any in-person class.
Behavioural Issues
- Dogs with aggressive tendencies must be disclosed before attending any class. Happy Tails reserves the right to refuse entry to any dog displaying aggressive behaviour.
- Muzzles or other safety equipment may be required for dogs that pose a risk to others.
In-Person Classes
Attendance & Punctuality
- Consistent attendance is crucial for the success of the training program. Frequent absences may affect progress and training outcomes.
- Late arrivals may not be admitted to class to avoid disruption to other participants.
- Classes will start and end at stipulated times. Private classes will take place as per the pre-negotiated schedule.
When Classes Cannot Proceed
Should a session be unable to take place at our training grounds due to bad or hazardous weather, acts of God, or state of emergency/disaster regulations, the lesson will be offered via virtual media (Zoom, Google Meet, or Skype). These changes will be communicated by WhatsApp or SMS. Should technical issues prevent a virtual session at the designated time, an alternative time slot will be negotiated.
Online Courses & Personal Consultations
Access & Technical Requirements
- Online courses are delivered via our designated platform. Access details will be provided upon enrolment and full payment.
- It is the student's responsibility to ensure they have a stable internet connection, a compatible device, and any required software prior to the start of the course or consultation.
- Happy Tails is not responsible for disruptions caused by the student's internet connectivity or device failure.
Course Content & Intellectual Property
- All course materials, videos, and resources are the intellectual property of Happy Tails Dog Training Centre and are for personal use only. They may not be reproduced, shared, or distributed without written permission.
- Course content is subject to change or update at any time. Access to materials may be time-limited as specified at enrolment.
Personal Consultations (Online)
- Online consultations are conducted via an agreed video platform (Zoom, Google Meet, or similar) at a mutually agreed time.
- Consultations may not be recorded by the client without prior written consent from Happy Tails.
- Should a consultation not take place due to a technical failure on Happy Tails' side, a replacement session will be offered at no additional cost.
Expectations & Results
Please note
While Happy Tails uses various training and behaviour modification methods, we cannot guarantee that every student's expectations will be met. Results depend significantly on the owner's consistent application of techniques and the individual dog's temperament.
Missed Sessions & Refunds
In-Person Classes
- Classes booked and paid for but not attended will not be refunded unless prior notice is given at least 24 hours before the session. Students who provide adequate notice will receive the applicable homework electronically.
- Puppy class participants may make up a maximum of two missed classes per course. Additional missed classes will incur extra charges.
- If your puppy exceeds the age limit of five months before completing the course, they will be required to transition to private adult classes at additional cost.
Online Courses
- Online course fees are non-refundable once access to course materials has been granted, as content is immediately available upon enrolment.
- If a technical issue on Happy Tails' side prevents access to purchased content, please contact us within 7 days and we will resolve the matter promptly.
Online Consultations
- Cancellations made at least 24 hours before a scheduled consultation will receive a full credit toward a rescheduled session.
- Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows will forfeit the session fee.
- Happy Tails reserves the right to reschedule a consultation with reasonable notice.
Course Completion
All courses — both in-person and online — must be completed within the time frame indicated at enrolment. Failure to complete within this period will result in the forfeiture of unused lessons, and no refunds will be issued for remaining sessions.
Extensions may be granted under exceptional circumstances at the sole discretion of Happy Tails Dog Training Centre. Extension requests must be submitted in writing before the course end date.
Financial Policy
In-Person Courses
The full course fee is payable in advance or at the first lesson. Per-class fees are not accepted.
Online Courses & Consultations
Full payment is required before access is granted or a consultation is confirmed.
Happy Tails reserves the right to adjust pricing with reasonable advance notice. Price changes will not affect courses already paid for.
Media Release
By participating in training sessions — whether in-person or online — owners agree to allow Happy Tails Dog Training Centre to use photographs or videos taken during classes for promotional purposes, including on our website and social media channels.
If you do not wish to appear in promotional material, please notify us in writing before your first session.
Privacy Policy
Personal information collected during enrolment and training will be kept confidential and used solely for communication, record-keeping, and service delivery related to our training services. We will not sell or share your information with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.
Amendments
Happy Tails Dog Training Centre reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated to students in advance. Continued participation in any Happy Tails service after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
